UI Film Festival akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22-24 Mei 2014 di Kampus Universitas Indonesia, Depok.

Pemeran produk-produk kulit dan fashion kembali digelar di Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC), 28 May 2014 – 31 May 2014. Sekretaris jendral Kementrian perindustrian Ansari Bukhari mengungkapkan pameran bertajuk ‘Gelar sepatu, kulit dan fashion 2012, ini bertujuan agar masyarakat lebih mengenal produk dalam negeri yang berkelas internasional.
Menteri perindustrian MS Hidayat berharap momen pameran yang diadakan ketika libur panjang ini bisa mengundang minat masyarakat. Biasanya, masyarakat menghabiskan libur panjang di Bandung. “Long week-end biasanya ke Bandung, sekarang di Jakarta aja,” ujar Hidayat saat membuka acara, Rabu (16/5).
Ia menuturkan, produk kulit dan fashion Indonesia sudah cukup baik, namun masih memerlukan promosi dan branding. Di Jombang, Jawa Timur berbagai produk kulit sudah dieskpor ke Eropa dan dijual kembali disana dengan merek Dolce & Gabana. “Kita harus melahirkan branding produk dalam negeri,” tambahnya.
Wakil ketua umum bidang perindutrian, riset dan teknologi Bambang Sujagad sepakat produk kulit Indonesia sudah cukup bisa bersaing dengan produk internasional. Dari sisi desain, produk separu dan fashion Indonesia sudah cukup sejajar dengan ‘kemewahan’ yang ditawarkan negara lain.
