The 14th Majapahit Travel Fair 2013
Having been successfully held for thirteen times in Surabaya, the Majapahit Travel Fair (MTF) has become the most considerable gathering in the province. It is held annually with the main objective of providing business opportunities for the travel and tourism industry to market East Java’s tourist attractions, hotels, natural surroundings, and cultural heritage to both domestic and international tour operators. The major activities of this event include a “Table-Top Business Meeting” between the buyers and sellers (Travex), a half-day seminar and the actual Exhibition where the sellers and exhibitors display their products, facilities and services. MTF 2013 will be held on May 16 – 19, 2013 at the Grand City Convex, Surabaya. The East Java Government intensifies the celebration of this core event of East Java. In addition, we also hold East Javanese Traditional Dance Festivals.
This will be our 14th annual MTF and promise to be the most beneficial than ever. MTF always achieves great success. The number of last year’s participants joining the Table-Top Business Meeting grew significantly.
The Travel Exchange is a closed business meeting with a Table-Top format between Buyers and Sellers of the travel and tourism industry. This two-session program is based on the appointment schedule arranged by the MTF Organizing Committee. The buyers taking part in this meeting are international and national tour operators who are currently marketing East Java or Indonesia and those who would like to obtain more information on our region to start promoting our market. The sellers are mostly delegates from East Java’s tourism related industries with some delegates attending from other provinces in Indonesia.
The Exhibitors are travel operators and tourism destination representatives from East Java and other destinations in Indonesia. It is open for the public from May 16 – 19, 2013. The Expo venue will be located at the Exhibition Hall Grand City Convex, Jl. Gubeng Pojok, Surabaya.
At the Seminar, reputable tourism professionals from Indonesia will share their experience and expertise with interactive audiences. The sellers, exhibitors, managers of tourist attractions, government tourism officials, MICE or event organisers, university students and the public will attend the seminar convened at the Meeting Room, Grand City Convex, Jl. Gubeng Pojok, Surabaya. The topic of this year’s seminar is “East Java Mice Destination”. East Java is ready to host national and internasional conference/congress supported by representative venues such as five star hotels and convex buildings
